Scope and plain-language summary
This policy applies to the Jotivo extension for Chromium-based browsers, including Chrome and Microsoft Edge, its browser-side settings, related Jotivo APIs and browser-extension support requests.
Jotivo does not scan pages in the background or collect your browsing history. Page access begins when you explicitly choose a capture action. Only the content needed for that capture is processed, and you review extracted actions before sending them to a connected service.
When Jotivo can read page content
Depending on the action you choose, Jotivo may read the current page, selected text, a chosen screen area, visible email content or an image you provide. Access is used to complete that capture and is not used to create a background history of the pages you visit.
The extension may use browser permissions such as active-tab access, scripting, side-panel access and storage to provide the capture and review experience. Permission use is limited to product features described in the extension and its store listing.
Information stored in the browser
Jotivo may store preferences, AI-consent choice, recent capture state, editable actions, selected destination, connection state, undo information and usage status in extension storage. This keeps the side panel responsive and allows you to review or undo recent Jotivo writes.
Browser extension storage is controlled by the browser and should not be treated as a secure vault. Jotivo avoids placing raw payment-card details in extension storage. Clearing extension data or uninstalling the extension may remove local state.
AI recognition you explicitly request
When you continue with a capture, the selected content is sent over an encrypted connection to the Jotivo API so it can suggest actions, dates, notes and destinations. The API may use Cloudflare and OpenRouter, with one selected model provider such as Google or OpenAI, to complete the request.
Jotivo does not intentionally retain raw captured page content on its application server after recognition completes. Infrastructure and model providers may process transient request data, security metadata or logs according to their own policies and the service configuration. Jotivo does not promise that every third-party provider follows identical retention or model-improvement practices.
Connected task and calendar services
You can optionally connect supported services such as Todoist, TickTick, Google Tasks, Microsoft To Do or supported calendars. Jotivo uses the authorization granted by you to read the destination lists needed for setup and to create, update or undo items you explicitly send.
The task or event fields you choose to send are received by that provider and handled under its policy. Disconnecting stops new Jotivo access but does not automatically delete items already created in the provider.
Optional Browser Pro account and billing
Browser Pro is optional. When you purchase, restore or connect Browser Pro, Jotivo may use your email address to send a one-time account confirmation link. A keyed representation of the email, subscription status, Paddle customer or transaction identifiers, billing period and monthly usage may be retained to restore access, manage quotas and prevent duplicate grants.
Paddle acts as the Merchant of Record for browser subscriptions and handles payment details, tax and checkout records under its own terms and privacy notice. Resend may be used to deliver one-time confirmation emails. Jotivo does not receive your full payment-card details.
Support, rights and contact
If you contact support, we receive the information you choose to send. Limited account, subscription, usage and security records may be retained when reasonably needed for service operation, billing, fraud prevention, dispute handling or legal compliance.
